TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE

IF THE POOL OR SPA IS NOT FILLING

  1. Water supply valve hose bib must be open. Push down on float assembly to check for water pressure.
  2. The filter screen on the water supply line may have become plugged with sediment allowing no water to reach the sensor chamber valve. Clean the screen with fresh water and reinstall. Again push down on float assembly to check for water pressure.
  3. Pump must be off and air tight for automatic water leveler to operate. The siphon action will occur if the air is flushed out of the plumbing loop and the pump is off.

IF THE POOL OR SPA IS OVER FILLING

  1. Has it been raining a lot lately?
  2. Was the sensor chamber installed correctly, to the right level?
  3. Water main pressure is best at 80 psi or lower, if over 125 psi plunger valve cannot shut off.
  4. If plunger valve will not shut off, even after lifting float rod, possibly some sediment has accumulated and fouled the plunger action, if the up and down movement does not free the plunger, remedy will be to replace the plunger valve.
  5. Overtime, (usually 5-7years) the materials used to manufacture the plunger valve become fatigued and will fail. If you find the plunger valve arm to be broken off, simply replace the valve.
  6. Correct assembly of the float valve linkage will be necessary for proper operation. Check installation instructions and diagrams for correct assembly procedures.
